Being an avid watcher of American’s Next Top Model (ANTM) this was so sad to see.
28 year old Jael Strauss who contested in season 8 six years ago, is apparently now a homeless, drug addict. In a final effort to help the one time aspiring model whose looks have now been ravaged by the deadly drug methamphetamine; Dr Phil staged an intervention in what turned out to be a very emotional show.
Jael Strauss had been missing and living on the streets – completely taken by her addiction. Dr. Phil had sent her father and mother to her hometown to find her where she was found and reluctantly agreed to travel to Los Angeles to appear on the Dr. Phil show.
Having second thoughts about seeking help, Jael is seen resisting getting on the stage and in one dramatic scene runs off the show and out the studio into the parking lot.
Dr Phil follows her out (something he says he’s never done in 10 years) and convinced her to seek the help she so desperately needs.
