Nicki Minaj bruises vocal chords, cusses out fans on Twitter and is set to join American Idol – phew!
Someone needs to tell Nicki Minaj that there are more diplomatic ways of getting your point across especially when you’re one who’s in the public eye.
After being criticized in the press and on Twitter for cancelling two shows in Britain and Dublin – Nicki Minaj took to Twitter, letting off steam in an expletive laden rant while promising her loyal fans that she had a ‘surprise’ for them – but it seems that surprise has been ruined as US Magazine has revealed that she will be joining Randy Jackson and Mariah Carey as judges on American Idol.
As it turns out, she had strained her vocal chords during her North American tour and a few weeks ago, her doctor instructed her to take two weeks off to rest her voice. She however decided to ignore those orders and continued performing leading to her vocal chords being completely bruised.
She then had to cancel her performance at Britain’s V Festival and a show in Dublin but the press and a few Twitter fans went in hard on her – criticizing her decision.
And she let loose:
“I am so thankful to my true fans who understand WHY I couldn’t play #VFestival & WHY I can’t play Dublin. Absolutely gutted However, if u have anything negative to say to me, please #EatSh*tAndDie – I am human. I was in jeopardy of losing my voice entirely and needing surgery on my vocal chord. If u can’t understand that, your mother’s a WHORE!!!!
I will NOT let you people make me feel horrible for a f*cking HEALTH issue! That’s what got me in this mess! I shldve listened 2 the doctor! Like people are hitting me telling me I shldve mimed. No! Then you woulda made a f*cking STORY out of that too! #killyaf*ckingself
