5 teenage boys arrested and charged with the rape of a 12 year old girl.
Police in Philadelphia have arrested five teenagers aged between 14 and 15; accused of raping a 12-year-old girl at a busy recreation center.
The teenagers have all been charged with rape, simple assault and other offences. Because they are all juveniles, authorities have declined to identify them.
Police say on a busy night at a city recreation center in the Kingsessing neighborhood; a staff member went to a stairwell after seeing several boys running away from the area and she found the distraught 12 year old girl.
When asked, the girl told police she was approached Monday night by several boys who started talking to her and lured her to an upstairs stairwell where she was subsequently attacked.
